For too long, interview advice has been the same: convince them to hire you. Sell yourself. Prove you're worthy.

We think that's backwards.

The best interviews aren't performances. They're conversations between two people figuring out if they can solve problems together. The candidate who wins isn't the one who begs hardest. It's the one who walks in prepared, shows what they bring, and lets the work speak for itself.

CareerBrief started because we wanted to flip the script. Instead of "please hire me," we wanted to help people say "here's why you should."

But that kind of confidence doesn't come from nowhere. It comes from preparation. And most people don't have access to the same prep resources as candidates from elite schools or well-connected networks.

We're here to change that.

The typical interview advice out there is tired. STAR format. "Tell me about yourself." Generic tips recycled from blog posts written a decade ago. That advice isn't wrong, but it wasn't built for how hiring works today, where candidates need to show they understand the company, the role, and how they fit before they even sit down.
